  • Saturday, May 3, 2008: Watermen's Appreciation Day, opening day of the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park. Plant sale at the park.
  • Memorial Day Weekend: Community Pool opens.
  • Saturday, July 5, 2008: Heritage Day Celebration from 9am - 4pm. Deltaville Community Center. Arts and Crafts vendors. Middlesex Heritage Art Show, Food booths, Crab races, Pet parade, Children's parade, Live music, 1 pm parade, 5pm Deltaville Deltas Game, 8pm Old Timers Game, 8:45 Fireworks.   • July 20-26: Family Boatbuilding week.
  • August TBA: Crab Feast at the Fire House, followed by dancing to a live band. 5 pm to midnight.
  • Labor Day weekend: last pool day.
  • October 11, 2008: Holly Point Art & Seafood Festival and plant sale.
  • December 12: Jackson Creek Christmas Boat Tour and Hayride. Starts from the Deltaville Community Center at 5 pm. Rain date Dec. 13.

  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: Tennis at the DCA courts. Call Bruce Forsberg for information: 804 776-7734.
  • Every Monday at 7:00 pm: Bingo games sponsered by the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary of Deltaville. Doors open at 6:00 pm at the squad building.
  • Every Tuesday at 7:30 am: The Middlesex Rotary Club holds a breakfast meeting at The Pilot House in Topping. Prospective new members are welcome.
  • Every Saturday morning from 7:00 a.m. until the last person leaves: The Middlesex Amateur Radio Group invites operators or anyone interested in Amateur Radio to join us for breakfast at Taylors Restaurant in Deltaville. For information, contact Verlan Hall, AA4HQ, at 804 776-9353.
  • 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm: The LMVFD Auxiliary meets at the Fire House.
  • 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month: The Middlesex Lions club meets at Taylor's Restaurant. Social hour is 6:30 pm and dinner is at 7:00 pm.
  • 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 7 pm: The Hummel Civil Air Patrol meets at the Pilot House Restaurant in Topping. 758-2753.
  • 3rd Tuesday of the month at 9:30 am: The Deltaville Community Women's Club meets at Philippi Church. The public is invited.
  • 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm: The Hartfield Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary meets at the Fire House.
  • 2nd Wednesday of each month at 5:45 pm: Knights of Columbus meetings start with the Rosary followed by the meeting at 6:15 pm. The meeting, held at Our Lady of the Visitation church on Route 33, is over by 7:15. The members, wives and guests then head to the Pilot House in Topping for dinner.
  • 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm: The Middlesex Junior Woman's Club meets. Call 776-7816 or 776-8079 to find out the meeting place or for more information.
  • 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm: The Deltaville Community Association, Inc., holds its monthly meetings at the Deltaville Community Center, 17147 General Puller Highway. The public is always welcome. There is generally no meeting held in December.
  • 4th Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm: Flotilla 62 meets at the Training center, Ball Park Rd, Deltaville. All are welcome to come and join us.
  • 4th Saturday of summer months: Farmers' Market in the morning only on the grounds of Yates House on Route 33.

  +   Jackson Creek Christmas Cruise

There will be 4 departure times for cruises:
5, 6, 7 and 8 pm
Adults $5. Children under 12 free, but everyone MUST have a ticket.

There are only 60 tickets for each cruise. Get yours at Nauti Nell's (Mon-Sat 10-5, Sun 11-4). Any remaining will be available at the door of the DCA building, which is the departure point for all cruises.

Explorer will be on display.

Free punch and cookies will be served in the DCA building. The Lion's Club will sell hamburgers and hotdogs.

Santa will be at the DCA building for photos.
