"Captain John Smith Meets the Pirates" in this historically accurate retelling of the "Stingray Point Story," quickly moving into the world of fantasy with pirates, Popeye, and a hunt for Treasure. Fun for all ages with shows at 10 am and 2 pm, sea chanteys, Scalawag School, and pirating around in between. Billz Bistro will be open for hot dogs, burgers and soft drinks.

Enjoy the magic of taking a stack of boards and making a handsome skiff, completely painted and race-ready during the museum’s 7th annual Family Boatbuilding Week. Your $750.00 for a 12 footer or $950.00 for 14 footer will provide everything needed to complete your boat, including a hand lettered name of your choice. After the rowing race, awards ceremony, and fish fry on Saturday, you can take your new boat home for years of enjoyment. An event-filled day caps off Family boatbuilding Week. From 11 - 12 noon, watch the newly-built skiffs with their crews race around the marks to victory. Everyone gets a prize at the Awards Ceremony immediately after the race. Billz Bistro opens at noon with fish fillets, burgers, hot dogs, and sides. Tea, bottled water and soft drinks are also available. Tap your feet, clap your hands… the music festival runs from 1-5 with something for everyone. Music - nautical and otherwise. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the afternoon. Refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon at Billz Bistro.

The Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park will host the Deltaville Farmers' Market on the 4th Saturday of the month through September. The museum is located just down the road from the Yates Art Center where the market was formerly held. The June-August markets will be located on the waterfront under the trees. If the weather is threatening or inclement there is over 3,500 sq. ft. under cover to hold the market.

Sponsored by the Rappahannock Art League and Rappahannock Community College. Five days of art and craft instruction taught by Elizabeth Blackwell, art teacher at St. Clare Walker Middle School. She promises to nurture creativity and provide a wonderful art experience at Holly Point Nature Park. Cost is $45 plus a $10 supply fee, due the first day of class. Children 6-11: 10-11:30 am. Young people 12-17: 12 Noon - 2 pm. Motivated young artists may sign up for both sessions, but must bring their own bag lunch. The half hour between sessions will be supervised.
