Holly Point Nature Park's Children's Garden

Photo of the Children's Garden at Holly Point

The Children's Garden was begun by the Gardenerds in the spring of 2003. The plantings were designed to appeal to the senses of touch, taste, smell, and sight and to attract wildlife, especially songbirds, bees, dragonflies, butterflies, toads and frogs. There is a sunflower house for children to sit in. Events, such as this summer's Watermelon Madness party and Pumpkin Decorating during the Holly Point Art & Seafood Festival, are planned for children to enjoy. A guide to the garden can be found in the mailbox at its entrance. Summer is the best time to visit, of course, but in any season the flip-flop pathway waits for visitors. Bring a child and explore!
