7:00am – 10:00am
Start off the morning at the DVL 5K! At 7:15am, the 1/2 mile Kids Fun Run will let loose the little legs of dozens of kids as they race up route 33 and back! At 7:30, the big kids (young and not so young!) set out on a 5K that covers Route 33 through downtown Deltaville, Lovers Lane, the Jackson Creek State Dock, and back!

7:00pm – ~9:00pm
Saturday night’s semi-pro wood-bat baseball game features the Norfolk Benchwarmers and our hometown Deltaville Deltas! Gates open at 6:00pm, first pitch is at 7:00!
*Due to the excessive heat this weekend, the game was moved back to a 7:00pm first pitch, with only 7 innings being played. Keep track of the game progress by listening to the live broadcast on 104.9 WIGO!

Approximately 9:30pm – FIREWORKS!!!
Following the conclusion of the Benchwarmers & Deltas ballgame, the fireworks will shoot around 9:30pm! Depending on how long the game goes, there will be a roughly 20-25 minute intermission between the conclusion of the game and the shooting of the fireworks.
When the ballpark lights go out, you know the show is about to start!
There are lots of options for viewing of the fireworks!!!
Parking
While the Deltaville Ballpark parking lot will be full for those attending the Deltas game, plenty of parking will be available at both the DCA Community Park and the DCA auxiliary lot across the the street from the Ballpark entrance.
Viewing
This year our fireworks will be bigger – and taller – than ever! But the best views will be available all around – or inside – Deltaville Ballpark!
Once the Deltas game has concluded, the gates will open to all to come pack the infield and experience the fireworks up close and personal! If you’d like to not be right under the fireworks, the ballpark parking lot immediately surrounding the ballpark and the grass shoulders of Ballpark Road are also excellent viewing locations and have PLENTY of room to set up lawn chairs & blankets. You’ll be able to see the biggest fireworks over the trees from the DCA Community Park as well.
(Or, bring your boat into Sturgeon Creek and view by water!)
This celebration can’t happen without your support! Please, donate online! If you’d prefer, a check for supporting the fireworks can be mailed to the Deltaville Community Association, PO Box 211, Deltaville, Virginia 23043. All donations are 100% tax deductible.
